An architectural gem featuring a blend of beaux arts style and modern design elements

Gleaming marble surfaces, beautifully carved stone arches, and antique light fixtures greet visitors in the lobby and grace the sophisticated special event spaces beyond. For an elegant sit-down dinner and dancing, the adjacent Samsung Hall is equally classy. If you prefer a contemporary setting, the museum has a pair of almost identical courts on the lower level that are connected by two open hallways. Before the festivities begin, brides who want a secluded spot in which to get ready or relax can utilize the lovely Peterson Room on the first floor. A lavish private room, it has Oriental rugs and Asian-inspired décor that’s very Zen.

The museum is located in the heart of San Francisco’s Civic Center, just a few blocks from Moscone Center, Union Square hotels, parking, and public transportation systems (BART & MUNI).

Guests can enjoy three floors of galleries displaying over 2,500 works of contemporary and ancient Asian art, spanning 6,000 years of history.

Weddings at the museum begin as early as 6:30 pm and conclude by 11:30 pm. You may also extend your wedding as late as 1:30 am for an additional fee.
